Hello Mr. Virgil:
Thank you again for a wonderful summer; Eric was actually very sad last night, realizing today is the last day of camp!
I reminded him he’ll be back in February and April, and of course, next summer, however, that didn’t appease him since it’s so far away!
As a working parent it makes my day easier to know that my child is in a safe environment, with great people, having fun and learning, while making new friends and getting reacquainted with “old” buddies!
Thank you and please thank your wonderful staff!
Regards, Ana Vento
“The "Achieve" program is the most well organized and parent responsive program,
I have ever been associated with, on a regular basis. The staff from top to bottom
is truly dedicated to the care and advancement of children!!"
R. Fuller - Educational Consultant
“I have really enjoyed working in collaboration with the ACHIEVE
Program this year teaching an art enrichment program. I found the
children to be delightful in every way. It is clear that the administration
and teaching staff at ACHIEVE work hard to create an atmosphere in which kids
feel stimulated, inspired, safe, and happy. What a wonderful enterprise!”
Lizzy Rockwell - Children's Book Author and Illustrator/ AfterSchool Alliance art instructor
“The A.C.H.I.E.V.E. program fills an important community need for after school care.
At the same time, students have an opportunity for academic assistance.
A.C.H.I.E.V.E. represents an outstanding example of how school's A.C.H.I.E.V.E Testimonial systems and community
services can collectively serve the needs of young people better than each could do
on their own.”
Salvatore Corda - Superintendent, Norwalk Public Schools
"After school programs are a valuable community
resource and I am glad that parents are able to take advantage of ACHIEVE.
As a board member, I can see first hand how ACHIEVE helps young people.
It is a quality program run by caring and dedicated staff members and has been
embraced by parents and their children throughout Norwalk.
Bob Duff - State Representative
A.C.H.I.E.V.E. is providing a practical and valuable
service for young people and their families. The dedicated and skillful work of
its staff and volunteers will have long term benefits for students and the community.
The very best wishes for your continuing success!
Tedd Levy - Former Teacher, Norwalk Public Schools
“A.C.H.I.E.V.E. has been a wonderful influence in my son’s life and has helped him
improve his school grades, while getting to know children from other areas of Norwalk.
With caring, safe, adult-supervised child care practically impossible to find, A.C.H.I.E.V.E.
offers structured programming and help with schoolwork, along with computer time, reading
time, physical activities and fun/free time.”
Theresa G. Anderson - Marvin Elementary School Parent
“A.C.H.I.E.V.E. is a wonderful program. When my child
comes home her homework is done. It’s also nice to know your child is in a safe environment
and the staff is great!”
Charlene Kennerly - Wolfpit Elementary School Parent
“The best thing A.C.H.I.E.V.E. offers is certified teachers working
with kids on homework. But there’s also a nice balance between work, play,
and enrichment activities that keeps kids coming.”
Jan King - Founding Executive Director, Norwalk Education Foundation
“A.C.H.I.E.V.E. helps fills an enormous need for the
Norwalk community—an everyday after-school program that provides a safe,
supervised place for children to grow and learn. A.C.H.I.E.V.E. has partnered
with Norwalk Public Schools to provide school based programs that work closely
with children (and their families) so they can be successful students. In addition,
A.C.H.I.E.V.E. has been an active member of the Norwalk After School Alliance,
contributing to the overall goal of improving and expanding after school programs
and activities in Norwalk. A.C.H.I.E.V.E. is to be congratulated for its important work!”
Mary Peniston - Executive Assistant to the Superintendent, Norwalk Public Schools
